Summer Challengers!
For those of you that are doing the Summer Challenge, we have a special gift for you. It’s small. But you will absolutely love it on the day of the Total Eclipse of the Sun!  We have a pair of eclipse sun glasses for you! Pick up your pair at the front desk this week.

Please try to attend the B90 class at 9:30 this Wednesday, Aug.16th.  The teacher will be one of Hannah’s buddies from her Teacher Training, Ross Randall.  Ross lives in Asheville, NC, where he teaches and practices. Ross is a wonderful teacher who brings humor and encouragement to his classes.  I hope to see you there!

We will have 2 classes only on the 4th:

8:30 Bikram Class (90 Minutes)

10:30 Pilates Class (60 Minutes)

NEW YIN CLASS

New Yin Class on Fridays! 
Starting next week, July 3rd, Yin will be offered Mondays, Wednesdays AND FRIDAYS!  All Yin classes start at 11:15 and are 60 minutes long.  
 
If you have never tried this peaceful, calming, rejuvenating class, you owe it to yourself to break away on your lunch hour and give it a try.  Yin consists of stretching postures held for 2 to 4 minutes.  Soft music is played during class. It is a casual atmosphere and students are encouraged to ask questions if they like.  The room temperature is lowered to “warm” — just enough to facilitate the softening and elasticity of the muscles and facia.
 
The last 15 minutes of class is devoted to Nidra Yoga, a guided relaxation and self-affirming practice.  It is an incredibly calming and transformative experience.  All you do is lay flat on your back, listen, and enjoy.  You need to try this!

FREE MEDIATION LECTURE THIS FRIDAY, JUNE 16th

 

“Bringing Meditaion Into Your Everyday Life”

You are invited to share in BYC’s next “Yogi Talk.”  On Friday, June 16th, yoga and meditation practitioner James Halsey will be giving us a free talk on this elusive topic.  We often hear people say, “I can’t meditate.”  Or, “I don’t know how to meditate.”  Please join us to have the concept of meditation demystified and simplified.  James will guide us to an understanding of how to maintain a spiritual practice while immersed in the real world.
 
James has been practicing various styles of yoga for over 20 years, and has maintained a consistent meditation practice over the last 7 years.  Living in Monasteries and Ashrams since 2012, he has devoted 3 years to doing serious monastic practice.  We are very fortunate and excited to have James share his experience and knowledge with us.
